Stroke excellence, advanced training methods & race strategies
The Gold level introduces more advanced training principles and racing tactics, such as counting strokes to measure efficiency and understanding how to pace oneself for 200m and longer events.
The whole group works towards the goals of mastering the 200 IM event and confidently swimming a 400m Freestyle event. Pool training places greater emphasis on building greater endurance - both aerobically (distance) and anaerobically (sprints events & underwater speed), alongside skill development.
Dryland training continues to refine movements whilst introducing athletes to resistance training and power training with loads.
